Match-3

A Matching Game is an arcade-style game in which you push 3 tiles into adjacent positions to make them disappear. In Match-3 games the only way to do this is by swapping tiles with those that are currently adjacent. The swapping (typically swiping or dragging mechanisms) will only occur if the proposed swap successfully creates a match of three of more tiles in a vertical or horizontal row on a square grid. Therefore, the challenge of a Match-Three puzzle game is the identification of patterns on a seemingly chaotic board.
